The United States says it has formed a coalition of 10 countries to help in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq.
The newly-formed coalition consists of the United States plus Britain, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, Turkey, Italy,Poland and Denmark.
Secretary of State John Kerry said the strategy for the coalition was to contain, not destroy, the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL.”
We need to attack them in ways that prevent them from taking over territory, to bolster the Iraqi security forces and others in the region who are prepared to take them on, without committing troops of our own. Obviously I think that’s a red line for everybody here: no boots on the ground.”
One reading would say that Obama is giving the green light to Turkey to attack Iraq and Syria in a “legal way”.
Another reading would say: But Turkey is one of Isis sponsors, how would they include Turkey in such coalition?
Another reading would say: this coalition is not to destroy Isis but just to adjust its borders. We must prevent them from taking over territory: it means that the territories they occupied are a “fait accompli”. In fact, this coalition recognizes “the Islamic State” in Iraq. It is no more Isis.
Another question would say: but why the United Nations is not involved in such coalition, is there any country against such battle?
We can say that this coalition is very suspicious. In the Egyptian newspaper “El Watan”, after the publishing of this news lot of Egyptians wrote their comment:
– Is it possible that the US and Turkey, the most countries funding these groups, will fight against Isis? It’s just a pretext to occupy Iraq and Syria and not to destroy Isis.
– There is no Russia and there is Turkey. They moke us: they are supporting and not fighting Isis.
– US and its allies don’t want to fight against Isis but just to educate them.
– Isis is made in US and supported by CIA to blackmail Gulf countries.
– Isis is not a super power to create such a big coalition. Are they preparing a third World War?
– This coalition is an official recognition of Isis who is selling petrol to them. Their goal is to divide Iraq in three parts: Sunnite, Shiite and Kurds. This coalition’s goal is not created against the foundation of the Islamic State but to prevent this State from invading Shiite and Kurdish territories.
Personally, I feel a very bad smell coming out from this suspicious coalition. We have already big problems to accept a coalition headed by the United States after the loss of more than 1 million human beings in Iraq and who can forget the miserable Colin Powell’s TV show in which he convinced the world that Iraq must be attacked “and destroyed”.
La coalizione usa: molti interrogativi e cattivo odore
Gli Stati Uniti dicono che hanno formato una coalizione di dieci paesi per combattere lo Stato islamico in Iraq. La nuova coalizione è costituita da Stati Uniti più Gran Bretagna, Francia, Germania, Canada, Australia, Turchia, Italia, Polonia e Danimarca.
Il segretario di stato americano John Kerry ha detto che la strategia della coalizione deve essere quella di contenere e non distruggere lo Stato islamico, conosciuto anche come Isis o Isil
“Noi abbiamo bisogno di attaccarli in maniera da evitare che occupino altro territorio, noi abbiamo bisogno di sostenere le forze di sicurezza irachene e le altre forze di sicurezza nella regione, mettendole in grado di batterli, senza coinvolgere le nostre truppe”.
Dando di ciò un lettura, si direbbe che Obama sta dando luce verde alla Turchia per attaccare Iraq e Siria in “modo legale”.
Dandone un’altra, si direbbe: ma la Turchia è uno degli sponsor dell’Isis, com’è che l’hanno inclusa nella coalizione?
Dandone un’altra ancora si direbbe: questa coalizione si prefigge non di distruggere l’Isis ma di modificarne i confini. Noi dobbiamo impedire che essi occupino altro territorio; ciò significa che I territori che hanno occupato sono “fait accompli”. Infatti, questa coalizione riconosce “lo stato islamico” in Iraq, che non è niente altro che l’Isis.
Un’altra domanda sarebbe: perché le Nazioni Unite non sono coinvolte in questa coalizione, ci sono paesi contrari a questa battaglia?
Noi possiamo dire che questa coalizione è molto sospetta. Dopo l’uscita di questa notizia molti egiziani hanno scritto i loro commenti sul giornale “El Watan”:
– E’ possible che Stati Uniti e Turchia, i principali finanziatori di questi gruppi, combattano contro l’Isis? E’ solo un pretesto per occupare Iraq e Siria e non per distruggere l’Isis.
-Non c’è la Russia e c’è la Turchia. Loro ci prendono in giro: stanno sostenendo e non combattendo l’Isis
– Gli Stati Uniti e i suoi alleati non vogliono combattere l’Isis ma educarla
– L’Isis è made in Usa e appoggiata dalla Cia per ricattare i paesi del Golfo
– L’Isis non è una superpotenza che giustifichi la creazione di una tale grande coalizione. Stanno preparandosi alla terza guerra mondiale?
– Questa coalizione è un riconoscimento ufficiale dell’Isis che sta vendendo loro petrolio. Il loro obiettivo è divider l’Iraq in tre parti: Sunniti, Shiiti and Curdi. L’obiettivo di questa coalizione non è battersi contro la nascita dello stato islamico, ma evitare che questo stati possa invatere i territori shiiti e curdi.
Personalmente, sento un cattivo odore giungere da questa coalizione sospetta. Noi abbiamo già grossi problemi ad accettare una coalizione guidata dagli Stati Uniti dopo la perdita di oltre un milione di vite umane in Iraq e chi ha dimenticato il misero show televisivo di Colin Powell nel quale convinceva il mondo che l’Iraq doveva essere attaccata e “distrutta”.
